Four years ago, they were just two people. Today, they are a team of 20, with a growing network of subcontractors and a reputation that truly sets them apart. So how did they get here?

It started with industry know-how. Lewis and Shane, the founders, had both worked hands-on in the trade for years. They knew what good work looked like and what clients actually needed. But knowledge alone does not build a business.

They made a name for themselves by showing up when it mattered. Emergency jobs, tight turnarounds, last-minute requests. They took them on and followed through. Over time, clients came to know them as the team you could rely on. That reputation grew, one job at a time.They also focused on building the right team. No shortcuts. They brought in tradespeople who cared about the details, who kept things tidy, respected homeowners and did the job properly the first time.

As the workload grew, they knew they needed better systems to keep everything running smoothly. That is where PaperDrop came in. We helped them move away from spreadsheets and into a tool that made it easier to track progress, stay on top of deadlines and communicate clearly with clients.

Today, TruBuild covers a large area around Peterborough. They are planning to expand their office, bring in more people and continue raising the bar for what good service looks like.
